‘Are You Being Served?’ star John Inman died from hepatitis A at 4am on 8 March in Paddington Hospital in London. His character, Mr Humphries, was a much loved gay icon throughout the world. John Inman was also known for his other roles in comedies and farces which toured globally. The actor had been admitted to hospital for liver tests. Inman is believed to have contracted Hepatitis from A from eating contaminated food in late 2004. Inman’s partner Ron Lynch was reportedly devastated at his death.
