Woman Ditched Razors and Embraced Beard Despite Death Threats

In her early teens, Kaur waxed twice a week in an attempt to remove her facial, hair, as well as trying shaving and bleaching. At one stage she felt so self-conscious she refused to leave the house. She also self harmed and considered taking her own life.

At the age of 16, Kaur was baptized as a Sikh and stopped cutting her hair. She said: ““I would never ever go back now and remove my facial hair because it’s the way god made me and I’m happy with the way I am.

“I feel more feminine, more sexy and I think I look it too.

“I’ve learned to love myself for who I am nothing can shake me now.”

You can watch Harnaam Kaur share her story in the video below.
