Western Australia will return to the polls on April 5th after state governor Malcom McCusker confirmed the date of the election.
The High Court declared the result of the September 2013 ballot void after some ballots were lost.
The loss of 1370 votes was discovered during a recount requested by Greens Senator Scott Ludlam. Because of the close result of the election a full recount was requested but the loss of the votes meant that a clear verdict could not be reached.
The electoral rolls close on March 7th, and nominations close on March 13th.
