The High Court declared the result of the September 2013 ballot void after some ballots were lost.

The loss of 1370 votes was discovered during a recount requested by Greens Senator Scott Ludlam. Because of the close result of the election a full recount was requested but the loss of the votes meant that a clear verdict could not be reached.

The electoral rolls close on March 7th, and nominations close on March 13th.
