The WA AIDS Council marked their 30th anniversary last week with a VIP event at Parliament House.
Indigenous consultant Ingrid Cumming opened the evening with a stirring welcome to country, before WAAC CEO Andrew Burry addressed the crowd.
Deputy Premier Dr Kim Hames spoke of the progress the WAAC has made in conjunction with Western Australia’s many health ministers over the past 30 years.
Also in attendance were Shadow Health Minister Roger Cook, Pastor Graham Douglas-Meyer and Connection Nightclub’s Tim Brown.
The WA AIDS Council are holding a public event on Saturday October 10th at the Western Australian Ballet Centre.
