Two beloved children’s stories will be brought to life on stage at the State Theatre Centre this April.

Room on the Broom is based on Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler’s picture book and presented by CDP Theatre, the award-winning team behind The Gruffalo, The Gruffalo’s Child and The 13, 26, 52, 78 & 91-storey Treehouses. The Witch and her animal friends fly back into Perth after sold-out seasons in 2016 and 2017.

The Witch and her cat are flying happily on their broomstick – until a stormy wind blows away the witch’s hat, bow and wand. As she meet new animal friends who help her find her missing items, how will she find enough room on the broom to help everyone?

The production brings together physical theatre, music and beautiful puppetry to bring the tale of friendship and sharing to the stage for children aged 3 to 8.

CDP Theatre also present Comedian David Walliams’ third novel for young audiences Billionaire Boy – a number one UK best-seller, and will be sharing the stage with The Witch in April.

Billionaire Boy follows twelve-year-old Joe who has everything he could ever want, from a golden underwater Ferrari to his very own cinema. Joe and his Dad have more money than you could imagine, but what Joe really needs is a friend…

The cast of five bring Billionaire Boy to the stage, exploring bullying, relationships and self-esteem through family-friendly comedy and lovable characters.

Room on the Broom will be at the State Theatre Centre from 23rd – 28th April, and Billionaire Boy runs from 24th – 27th April. For tickets and more information head to Perth Theatre Trust.
