Traveling Light Years

Light – it fascinates in the way it travels, the way it casts shadows, the way it illuminates or doesn’t, the way it shines and shades and such. Jonathan Jones and Sriwhana Spong hold such a fascination of light, so much so that their collaborative exhibition Moving Light at the Fremantle Arts Centre is a tribute to light – and darkness – as they combine video, objects and different lighting technologies in an attempt to offer a critique of site and history. Balinese shrines, popular culture and pattern making are all brought to life by the humble fluro tube. Moving Light runs until August 17. www.fac.org.au
