Australians who want to take part in the postal survey on marriage equality only have until 24 August to make sure their details are correct on the electoral roll.
Young people who have recently turned 18, and anyone who has moved house since the last election will miss out on taking part in the voting process, unless they log on and update their details.
The Australian Electoral Commission announced yesterday that around 68,000 people had updated their details on the first day after the deadline was announced. The government body said they would normally receive around just 4000 submissions each day.
To update your details just head to Australian Electoral Commission website.Â
