That's me in the meme

one-of-these-kids-will-grow-up-to-be-fabulous

It’s an image that has passed across almost everyone’s Facebook feed, three young boys on a motivational style poster. They look like they’re off for their first day of school. Underneath it proclaims “One of these kids will grow up to be fabulous!”

“That was me and my brothers in Karratha, it’s probably around 1995 and I think I was about seven or eight.” Local guy Isaac Turner shares with OUTinPerth.

A few years ago Isaac uploaded the photos to a blog named ‘Born This Way’, a blog that asked readers to share a photo that showed signs of their gayness at an early age.

“I don’t know how it became a meme, but a couple of months after I’d uploaded it someone saw it and sent it back to me.”

The photo of Isaac and his brothers has spread across the globe, Isaac noted that even Gina Liano from the Real House Wives of Melbourne had shared it on her page.

Isaac admits that the photo is now completely out of his control but there is also a dark side to his unexpected fame.

“Sometimes people make comments about my brothers, saying they look like psychopaths.” Isaac said, “They were just kids too.”

Isaac assures us that without a doubt this is the campest photo in his families archive and there aren’t any others to be shared in the future.

UPDATE 25-11-16

Isaac has teamed up with filmmaker Emma Morris and made a video for YouTube channel RECONN. In the clip Isaac recreates his fabulous pose from the photo.
