A decade on and Take That, the band who initially scored with strapping young gays on account of them dressing like, well, strapping young gays have released another offering. It wasn’t long before they were breaking the hearts of screaming pre-teens and bouncing mums and writing songs good enough to touch some of the hardest and staunchest of indie hearts. Yeah, they were cheesey but their blue eyed pop was head and shoulders above the cynical, sickly crap pedalled by Westlife or Blue. Now they’re back with a sell out tour, a number one single in the UK with Patience and this, their fourth album Beautiful World.
