ab [intra] is described as an electrifying journey into the extremes of human nature – a dynamic work of exquisite athleticism which exposes the shared instincts that drive us apart and bring us back together.

Sydney Dance Company is Australia’s leading contemporary dance company, presenting new works around Australia and internationally. A legendary force in contemporary dance, the company will celebrate its 50th year in 2019.

Multi award-winning artistic director Rafael Bonachela has been with Sydney Dance Company since 2008. He has also worked with everyone from Kylie Minogue, to Tina Turner, Sarah Blasko and Katie Noonan as well as leading fashion designers Dion Lee and Toni Maticevski.

ab [intra] again sees Boanachela team up with composer Nick Wales. Known for his challenging and abstract dance scores, Wales’ work has included collaborations with Sean Parker and Company, Ballet de l’Opéra de Lyon, performance artist Justin Shoulder and singer-songstress Sarah Blasco.

Discover what drives our relationships and ignites our ambitions in this visceral new piece showcasing Australia’s best contemporary dancers.

The last time the company visited Perth their performance was exceptionally captivating. Their productions are very cool indeed. Don’t miss them this time round.

Sydney Dance Company will be here 28-30 June, tickets available via Perth Theatre Trust or phone 6212 9292
