Sugar and Spice and all things nice…

The GLCS SWEET Bake Off is back on Sunday May 16th.

If you missed last year’s Sweet, your tummy is probably still rumbling. Wait no more, as the 2010 Mad Hatter’s Sweet is kicking off in May! Once again we are inviting individuals and community groups to Bake Off for a chance to win prizes, enjoy an afternoon of entertainment and, most importantly, eat cake!

Of course if you’re more Monster Chef than Master Chef, you’ll be looking for a great way to support GLCS – that’s where you can put an appreciation for the sweet things in life to good use. Cakes will be on sale to raise much needed funds and if you don’t want to make a cake of yourself, grab a tasty treat to take home.

So, get your cake forks out, pack your mad hats and come along and support the vital work of Gay and Lesbian Community Services! There is also a prize for best dressed in the Mad Hatter’s theme so get your costumes ready.

Tea-totallers

Aram Hosie, Narelda Jacobs and Mark Reid survived last year’s sugar overload and are back in the judges’ seats for another year. Joining them this year will The Court Hotel’s Bree Maddox and Anthony Georgeff – Editor of Spice Magazine.

Sweetness and (A) light

The fabulous Ms Mabel is back to host once again. We’re looking forward to her new party trick after last year’s sensational effort at setting her own hair alight. For the icing on the cake, David Gray and Rebecca Daniels will once again be crooning super sweet tunes.
