Twenty years after his acclaimed album ‘Boulevard’, and fifteen years after the multi-platinum album ‘Tourist’, which featured the mercerising track ‘Rose Rouge’, the French musician headed back to the studio.

Last year Ludovic Navarre, alias St Germain, recorded his eponymous fourth album. Local taste makers RTRFM featured it as their ‘album of the week’ late last year.

The self titled new record combined the house jazz sound that St Germain was well known for alongside new influences from the African nation of Mali. The new record featured traditional instruments including kora, balafon and n’goni.

The show in March will  showcase St Germain’s new album alongside the signature classics from ‘Tourist’ and ‘Boulevard’.

General admission tickets go on sale Tuesday 5th January 2016 at midday through Oztix. Premium as well as Dinner & Show packages also available. For more information on Sundown Sessions, head to www.sundownsessions.com.au.

Take a listen to ‘Real Blues’ from his latest album.
