Seasons of Love & Revolt

Right at the other end of this year’s Pride Festival is Seasons of Love and Revolt, a collaborative exhibition which brings together Liza Bradbury and Rona Chadwick. For the season of love, Bradbury brings together text messages and pomegranates from her garden to create a shifting palette which spans the swell and rupture of a relationship. For the season of revolt, Chadwick investigates the motivation behind female activists and how they strive to build stronger communities through a reinvention of attitudes. Chadwick’s work humourously appears on canvas covered ironing boards. Together, these two women present a combined front of what the heart and mind are capable of. Seasons of Love and Revolt opens at DOC Gallery on the corner of 8th Avenue and Guildford on Friday October 24 at 7pm and runs until Sunday October 26.
