Ruby Rose Experiments With Gender in Short Film

Model and DJ Ruby Rose has released a short film in which she experiments with gender presentation.

In the film, Rose begins with a dress and long blonde hair, and takes on a less feminine appearance, cutting her hair, revealing her tattoos, bandaging her breasts and donning a button up shirt and suit jacket.

She produced and wrote the film, entitled ‘Break Free’, and posted it on her Facebook page with the following description:

“A short film about gender roles, Trans, and what it is like to have an identity that deviates from the status quo.”
