Protestors Target PM in Fremantle

Protestors had Prime Minister Julia Gillard in their sights last night as she attended a party fundraiser in Fremantle. Protestors drew attention to a wide variety of issues including marriage equality,  tertiary education funding cuts and indigenous rights.

Attention was also drawn to Notre Dame University’s policy of not allowing students to form groups that support same sex marriage rights. Protestors argued that as the University accepts federal funding it should not be able to discriminate on religious grounds.
