The film and musical theatre star, who is a two-time Grammy Award winner, will present a concert featuring all of her favourite hits including Downtown, I Know A Place, Colour My World, A Sign Of The Times, I Couldn’t Live Without Your Love, Kiss Me Goodbye, The Other Man’s Grass, Don’t Sleep In The Subway and This Is My Song.

Having sold nearly 70-Million records throughout her career, which spans over 67 years Petula Clark has made her mark on the entertainment industry.

On this Australian Tour audiences will get to hear some new tracks from her latest album From Now On.

Petula Clark started her professional career as an entertainer on BBC Radio and made her film debut in Maurice Elvey-directed comedy Medal For The General in 1944.

Her film credits have since included Vice Versa with Anthony Newley, The Card with Sir Alec Guinness and Goodbye, Mr Chips with Peter O’Toole, and many others.

Clark received a Best Actress nomination at the Golden Globes for her 1968 performance opposite Fred Astaire in Finian’s Rainbow.

Her recording successes led to frequent appearances on American variety TV programs hosted by Ed Sullivan and Dean Martin and she was invited to host her own TV special in the U.S.

Clark is constant demand with lead roles in major theatrical productions such as Sound Of Music, Blood Brothers and Sunset Boulevard. In 1998 she was appointed a Commander of the Order of the British Empire by Queen Elizabeth II.

At 84, Clark shows no signs of slowing down. Her recent work include a stunning cover of Steve Winwood’s When You Seen a Chance. Also on her new albums are takes on The Beatles Blackbird and the jazz standard Fever.

Cut Copy Me, which is lifted from Clark’s 2013 album could have easily been a tune from Katy Perry or Lana Del Ray. On that album Clark also recorded Gnarls Barkley’s Crazy and provided an updated version of her biggest hit Downtown.

Petula Clark will be at the Perth Concert Hall on Wednesday May 17th at 1:30pm, tickets are available from Ticketmaster on 136 100.
