Pat Robertson Loses Fight to Keep Video Off YouTube

Televangelist Pat Robertson has lost his fight with YouTube to have a clip of him claiming that gay people had secret rings that spread HIV off the internet.

As we reported in our Head Scratch segment last week, Robertson made the bizarre claim during his TV program ‘The 700 Club’.

The comments were edited out of the online version of the show before it was posted to his website, but website Right Wing Watch noticed that they had been omitted and posted the missing section online.

The company that creates Robertson’s TV show had asked YouTube to remove the video’s claiming that they were a breach of copyright, but the online video site has sided with Right Wing Watch and ruled that the videos are protect as fair use as they are news-worthy.
