The ‘City of Love’ ground to a standstill last month with hundreds of thousands of protestors coming out against same-sex rights.
Large areas of Paris were crowded with protestors on the streets campaigning against gay marriage and adoption rights. Although organisers suggest that ‘millions’ of people were protesting, police have estimated the figure to be around 340,000.
Organised by conservative parties and the Churches, signs read ‘marriagophile, not homophobe’, ‘all born of a father and mother’ and ‘paternity, maternity, equality’.
