New gay bar for Perth

MacArthur Park Pty Ltd, a company related to Connections Nightclub, has launched an online survey to gauge the local community’s interest in a new male focused gay bar. The proposed new venue would be situated on the ground floor of the same building as Connections which has operated in the same space for the past 36 years.

Connection’s Manager Gavin Kingsbury has told OUTinPerth that the development of the new venue is still a long way off and the ‘timeframe is unknown’.

The survey describes the proposed venue would have a ‘laid back, raw, sexy feel, tap beer, a pool table and pinball machines’, that would be open in the early evening. The venue would be aimed at older gay men and have a music mix that includes disco, house and classic gay tunes.
