New Ab Fab is Fab

Absolutely Fabulous returns to our TV screens this month, with not one but two special episodes. Its twenty years since the show’s debut and seven years since we caught up with Edina, Patsy, Saffy, Mother and Bubble and the new episodes are a return to form.

The first special is called Identity which opens with the realisation that one of the regular cast members has fallen on hard times and as they re-enter the Monsoon household they bring with them new troubles, new characters and a bundle of laughs. To tell you any more about the plot would give too much away, but suffice to say it’s a mountain of fun and worth tuning in to.

The second episode is called Job. Edina bringing one of Saffy’s heroes, a French movie star, to London to make her singing debut on stage. It’s all going to plan until they realise the ageing film star can’t actually be heard once the microphone is on, Edina ushers in help from a range of sources including former guest stars Lulu, Baby Spice and many others. Catch the two specials on Wednesday February 8 and 15, ABC1, or catch up the ABC’s iView service. One more special will be coming later in the year.
