Mykki Blanco Hits Circo

Performance Artist, Poet and Rapper Mykki Blanco is headlining the Circo Festival in Perth this month. The self-described ‘gender freaker’ is the female persona of 24 year old Michael Quattlebaum from New York City.

Blanco has released a series of mix tapes and collaborated with other rap/electronic artists including Le1f, Flosstradamus, Gobby and Sinden. Blanco’s most popular release has been the track ‘Wavvy’ which was a collaboration with Brenmar.

 

Also appearing at the Circo Festival is Bloc Party front man Kele, Nina Las Vegas, Ryan Hemsworth, Yahtzel, L D R U, Violent Soho, Onra, DMA’s, Odesza, Nosaj Thing, The Kite Strng Tangle, Sable, Basenji, Touch Sensitive, Beneath, Visionist, Golden Features, DJ Q, Esta, Lakim, Deejay Earl, Twyth, Chiefs, D.Y.P, Camborghini, Time Pilot, Bunj, Slumberjack, Tina Says, Palace, and Sleepyhead.
