My Pet Rock-ster

Remember back in the ’70s when Gary Dahl created the pet rock, and how huge a fad that was? Well, those incredibly crazy and eccentric kids over at Sydney’s Trust-Fun (especially the out-there Jonathan Zawada, responsible for Presets cover art) have released these über-covetable pet rocks which you can carry with you wherever you go thanks to a 14ct gold-filled chain. Yes, pet rocks meet the new age and appear in a range of super chic minerals with consequently camp names. Think Pierre Pyrite, Malachite McKenzie, Arnie Azurite and Harry the Hermaphrodite Hematite, to name a few. These camp little critters who come with – and I quote – ‘real life-like moving eyes that can express Earth’s vast emotional range at any and every time of day’ can be ordered online exclusively from Trust-Fun. They cost $190 each. For more Trust-Fun fun be sure to check out their range of silk scarves and t-shirts available at The Slaughterblouse in Mt Lawley. www.trust-fun.com
