Speaking in  Muture, a city in Eastern Zimbabwe, Mugabe is reported to have commented, “I told them they are worse than dogs and pigs, yes worse than dogs and pigs. I keep pigs and the male pig knows the female one.” Following this the President made comments about cutting people’s heads off.

The leader also criticised US President Barack Obama for insisting that  country’s improve their record on LGBT rights to be able to receive assistance from the USA and struck out at South Africa’s support for gay rights.

Earlier this month Mr Mugabe suggested that gay people should be locked up in a room to see if they could have children and if they failed they should be sent to prison.
