Michael Alig to be Released from Prison

aligMichael Alig will reportedly be released from prison next month.

The self proclaimed King of New York’s Club Kids was serving a 10-20 year sentence for the manslaughter of drug dealer Andre ‘Angel’ Melendez in 1996.

The story was dramatised in the film ‘Party Monster’ in which Macaulay Culkin portrayed Alig.

An article in BlackBook has said the Alig will be released early next month and while he plans to return to a creative pursuit, he won’t be going back to the club scene.
