Loton Park OPEN DAY Delayed One Week

The Loton Park Tennis Club FREE Open Day has been delayed one week and will now take place on the 23rd of October, kicking off at 1pm.

You may have heard the rumour that Loton Park has an Early Bird Special where if you join on or before their Open Day you get 10 per cent of membership fees? Well the rumour is 100 per cent true! And the best thing is the Early Bird special has been extended to 23 October, so you can still try-before-you-buy at Open Day.

Hard hitting reporter, Michael Atkinson, went in search of the real reason why Loton Park’s Open Day was extended. Upon asking Loton Park President, Doug Kirkwood, a series of pressing questions, Michael unveiled the truth. ‘Our new ground keeper has advised that due to the lack of rain and sun the grass needs more time to grow,’ Doug explained.

Well, there you go! It seems the grass is greener on the other side…of one week!

What happens at Loton Park’s Open Day:

1pm Social Tennis
3.30pm Afternoon Tea (gorgeous cakes, pots of tea and coffee and other surprises)
3.50pm More tennis if you wish
6pm BBQ (meat and vegetarian foods, salads and rolls)

All skill levels are welcome, the focus is on fun, everything is supplied, and we can lend you a racket.

For the non-tennis-players:

• Enjoy a drink and chat or watch the tennis action from the balcony or the grass banks.
• Bring a picnic hamper and friends and set yourself up on the grass banks.
• Enjoy the atmosphere of our amazing heritage grounds.
• Bar facilities available (no BYO alochol)
