Look in Da House!

John Curtin Gallery presents a double fashion whammy this month with two amazing exhibitions cramming their way into this stunning space. The first exhibition, House of Tarvydas, pays homage to Ruth Tarvydas with a 40 year retrospective which shows how immense an input Tarvydas has had into WA fashion. The second exhibition, Looking Out, proves to be as equally as exciting. In this, five prominent WA designers will present capsule collections of their actual clothes and designs. The designers will be creating five outfits which best surmise their favourite techniques and shapes without the constraint of production. Put simply, expect completely original one-offs! Looking Out will feature ae’lkemi, Aurelio Costarella, ericaamerica, Megan Salmon and Material Boy (pictured). Both shows run until October 10 at John Curtin Gallery.
