A Ugandan asylum seeker in the UK has avoided deportation with hours to spare before her flight back to the increasingly homophobic country.
Campaigners managed to halt the deportation after comparing the case to Jackie Nanyonjo, who after being deported in January, died in March.
The Asylum Seeker, Christine, claimed to have been a victim of sexual abuse, and alleges to have given birth to her father’s child.
This is the seventh time campaigners have managed to stop Christine’s deportation back to Uganda.
