Leader of the West Australian Labor Party, Mark McGowan, has backed gay marriage during an online question and answer session.
Formerly a navy lieutenant, the leader emphasised his personal stance on same-sex marriage, stating that he personally supports the motion.
McGowan also stated he would vote in favour of a ‘reasonable bill’ allowing voluntary euthanasia. Although in support of both, McGowan emphasised that both matters were conscience issues.
