K-Pop’s latest singing star is an out and proud musician, something that is a rarity in conservative Korea.
Holland just released his first singleĀ Neverland over the weekend, and he’s not shying away from his sexuality. The song’s video sees him romancing another young guy, before they embrace in a passionate kiss.
The kiss has earned the video a 19+ rating in South Korea, a country where being gay is legal, but LGBTI people face significant social stigma.
Holland is just a handful of openly gay entertainers in South Korea. RnB singer MRSHLL (Marshall Bang) has previously been open about his sexuality, while singerĀ Harisu, who is transgender, is a household name.
