TWO AND A HALF MEN (Thurs June 26, Nine-7pm)

Execrable US sitcom starring Charlie Sheen and Jon Cryer, both of whom probably look back on their 1980’s A-list career and weep themselves to sleep. Trivia: Two and a Half men refers not only to Sheen, Cryer and an insufferable child actor, but also to the number of people watching the show at any given moment.

I’M A CELEBRITY, GET ME OUT OF HERE! (Fri June 27, Ten-9:30pm)

British Reality TV show in which ‘Celebrities’ (i.e. it was a choice between this and playing ‘Mugger #4 on THE BILL) are marooned in various inhospitable places and left to either cope or kill each other, whichever gets better ratings. Season 7 is set in the Australian Outback, which presenters warn our Unknown Stars is ‘inhospitable and crawling with deadly reptiles and invertebrates.’
