Jesse Tyler Ferguson reveals battle with cancer

‘Modern Family’ star Jesse Tyler Ferguson has revealed he has been treated for skin cancer, posting an after surgery photo on his public Instagram account.

The out actor and LGBTIQ advocate shows his newly bandaged face, jovially thanking his doctor for “taking the cancer out of my face”, with a Britney inspired hashtag (#youwannapieceofme).

Ferguson has not revealed any more details of his condition, though the actor continues to post photos from the set of ‘Modern Family’ as the cast film the next season.

Ferguson’s social media accounts have been inundated with warm comments from fans and supporters wishing the star a swift recovery.
