Actor and Director Humphrey Bower has shared how he first came across Peter Goldsworthy’s novel ‘Wish’ and what attracted him to adapt the work into a play.
Bower’s play first played at The Blue Room in 2001 where it received wide acclaim. Artshub called it “essential viewing”, while ABC radio labeled it “powerful theatre”. Now Perth Theatre Company are re-staging the play giving it a second lease on life.
Like ‘The Pride’ and ‘The Deep Sea Adventures of Alvin Sputnik’ the show is set to benefit from a larger stage and exposure to a bigger audience.
Check out the video below and book tickets to see the show at the State Theatre Centre from May 14- 21.
