It’s not looking good for the gay population in the UK, with new figures showing that a record number of gay and bisexual men were diagnosed with HIV last year.
Being the highest annual figure since records began; the statistic has also surpassed heterosexual contraction statistics for the first time since 1999.
The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has revealed that 3,010 gay and bisexual were tested as positive for the virus in 2011, statistics also shows that one in five gay and bisexual man also have accompanying STIs such as Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea.
