Aussie band Grinspoon will have some very special merchandise on sale when they play Margaret Court ‘Marriage Equality Arena’ in Melbourne tonight.
The band has created some special T-shirts that list the venue as Marriage Equality Arena instead of it’s current name that recognises the tennis career of outspoken religious leader Margaret Court.
The band have declared their support for marriage equality and will be giving all the proceeds from the shirts to Australian Marriage Equality.
Grinspoon are touring the nation celebrating the 20th anniversary to their 1997 album Guide to Better Living . The band’s debut album generated five singles. A new version of the album includes a live show recorded at the legendary New York venue CGBGs alongside a stack of rare bonus tracks.
Icelandic band Sigur Ros, who play the arena on July 25th, have also announced they’ll have a special T-shirt on sale at their shows which will also provide funds to marriage equality.
