At some point in your homosexual existence there is little doubt you will find yourself as the apple of a Daddy’s eye, and he wants a mouthful of your strudel. When this has happened to me my immediate reaction has been “my apple pie is NOT for sale” but with pensive contemplation I think it’s only fair to admit that we all just want a slice of something sweet.
To me a Daddy in the gay world is a guy that is old enough to play golf with your father. Sometimes this means that he has enough money to buy you Tiffany jewelry, sometimes this means he spends his time trawling Manhunt and Grindr with a blurry ‘retro’ photo and obscene locked pictures. Either way it’s an older gentleman that is looking to ‘interact’ with younger men. This got me to thinking… We all must have a Daddy looking for a little tart? As true as it is to be in your 20’s and have a man in his 40’s chasing your tail, men in their 40’s have guys in their 60’s chasing theirs too. It seems no matter the age we all have a Daddy somewhere.
So the problem exists, to Daddy or not to Daddy.
Not all that long ago a Daddy messaged me on Grindr. “Hey” he says, “Oh hey” I politely replied. Then I got an eye full of amateur self taken porn photos followed by propositions to perform crude sexual acts in various positions that even a contortionist would find offensive. This was not the way in which I’d wished to be won over. While I appreciated the offer to “make some money”, I am most certainly not a prostitute and his offer of $280 was more than insulting. Aint no way he was going to Daddy.
Another friend quite loves the older man, especially if he is heavenly looking with muscles, money and/or preferably tattoos. Being the available twink he is, he has no shame towards interacting with odd Daddy however strictly abides by the rule that at no point will he be treated as a child… Hello Daddy!
It is apparent there is no escaping the older man and whether you chose to engage or run in the other direction is a decision that will differ from you and dude next door. The key I think is to always respond politely because one day you too will be a Daddy to some unwitting queer. After all, Mum did always tell me to respect my elders. #GayBoyProblems.
