Prime Minister Julia Gillard faced significantly fewer protesters at her community cabinet meeting yesterday than on her previous trips to Western Australia.
The meeting held at Thornlie Senior High School ha a strong contingent of protesters both for and against the banning of live sheep exports but no other causes were noticeably present.
When the community cabinet meeting was held in Fremantle in 2010 protesters highlighted marriage equality, indigenous rights, fishing and immigration issues.
