Anna Bruno from ‘My Kitchen Rules’ has a message for ‘Mother’s Day’, drawing attention to Australia’s drawn out wait for marriage equality.
“All my sons deserve to be happy” declared Anna who posted a photo with her twin boys Jordan and Jonathon.
“I want to see all of my boys treated equally. Marriage is about love and commitment, and should be for everyone!” Anna said today.
The mother of four sons captured Australia’s hearts this year when she appeared on the popular cooking TV show with her gay son Jordan.
The duo made it through to the show’s semi-finals but were knocked out in a cooking showdown with South Australia’s Carmine and Lauren.
Last month Jordan told OUTinPerth about how the lack of marriage equality in Australia affects his whole family revealing that his Mum is ready to attend is wedding.
“My Mum wants to attend my wedding as much as I want to have one.” Jordan said. “It’s not something that is just about individuals this affects whole families. If everyone could get married, that says we’re all on a level playing field. It’s a bit of a joke that it hasn’t happened yet.” Jordan said.
