The Amani Consort Album Launch

The Amani Consort

The Amani Consort are oozing into into Fremantle to launch their highly anticipated new record, “Dawn After Dark”. Since the release of “Better Way” in 2014, The Amani Consort were nominated for “Best Urban Act” at the WAMI Awards, and have been working on an equally impressive follow up EP.

Amani’s smooth soul sounds have been compared to those of Erykah Badu, Lauryn Hill and Meshell Ndegeocello, and the launch has been tipped by WAM as one of the top 5 must-see gigs this summer.
Accompanying the Consort for the launch will be local troupe The Ruby Horns and songstress Natalie Mae, bringing the roster up to nine members for one special night of soul.

Also supporting the launch will be hip-hop nu-jazz collective Koichild, and Natalie Mae will perform a set of her own with local legend Rae. Fabulous Farren Wood of Ladywood will be hosting the evening alongside DJ Jkash, keeping the vibes funky throughout the night.

The Amani Consort are launching “Dawn After Dark” at Mojo’s Bar, North Fremantle on Saturday 14 March. Tickets details available from www.theamaniconsort.com
