Same-gender couples have been getting married in Australia for six months following the historical postal survey of 2017.
The team over at Punkee crunched the numbers on how many same-gender marriage have taken place since the laws changed and found out almost 2,500 couples have made it official – 2490 to be precise.
In Western Australia 292 couples have tied the knot. The biggest state is New South Wales which as had 853 weddings.
Victoria is next, with 674Â gay weddings, followed by Queensland with 374. WA has had 292 same-sex weddings, South Australia has had 162, Tassie has had 66, the ACT has had 48, and the NT has had 21.
