Whishaw met his partner while making the Australian film ‘Bright Star’ in 2009 and the pair entered into a civil partnership in Sydney in August 2012. Bradshaw was the composer on ‘Bright Star’ and most recently provided the score to Jane Campion’s mini-series ‘Top of the Lake’.

Whishaw has previously been reluctant to discuss his private life but yesterday his spokesman confirmed his partnership telling Britian’s Daily Mail;

“Ben has never hidden his sexuality, but like many actors he prefers not to discuss his family or life outside of his work.

“Due to speculation, I can confirm that Ben and Mark entered into a civil partnership in August 2012. They were proud to do so and are very happy.”
