Two of the most interesting, and queer, performers on The Voice fave failed to make it through to the show’s grand finale.
Jack Vidgen and Sheldon Riley, both of who had previous success on reality TV shows, failed to attract enough public votes to stay on the show.
Vidgen had previously won Australia’s Got Talent as a teenager but had become disillusioned with making music, while Riley was a runner-up on The Voice last year.
Backed by a choir, Vidgin performed Calum Scott’s You Are The Reason, while Riley took on Queen’s powerful The Show Must Go On. The coaches praised their performances but their journey on the show came to an end.
Making it through to Sunday’s grand final was busker Daniel Shaw, powerhouse vocalist Diana Rouvas, Perth teenager Jordan Anthony and r&b singer Zeek Power. Both Daniel and Jordan are coached by Delta Goodrem, while, Boy George mentors Diana, and Kelly Rowland guides Zeek.
The penultimate elimination left coach Guy Sebastian without any contestants in the field.
Check out Jack and Sheldon’s final performances on the show.
