Madonna the Director

The trailer for Madonna’s second feature film W.E. has premiered online. The Material Girl’s first outing as a Director was for the film Filth and Wisom that had a limited release. The romantic drama W.E. juxtaposes the story of King Edward VIII’s abdication of the British throne to marry divorcee Wallis Simpson with a contempory story between a married women and a Russian security guard set in New York. A similar story telling method was used in the Meryl Streep film Julie & Julia.
