Panic! at the Disco release video for 'High Hopes'

Panic! At The Disco have released a new music video for their tune High Hopes. Directed by Brendan Walter and Mel Soria, the thrilling video sees front-man Brendon Urie bring the artwork for the band’s critically acclaimed new album Pray For The Wicked to life.

Pray For The Wicked debuted at the top of the ARIA charts when it was released back in June 22.

While lead singer Urie has always been a favourite of the queer community only recently spoke about his own sexuality. Urie is married to a woman, and said he thinks of himself as pansexual.

Urie said he’d never hidden his sexuality, Girls, Girls, Boys one of the first songs he wrote as a teenager was about his experiences of a threesome . He did say however that he needed to apologise for comments he made a few years ago where he described himself as ‘barsexual’.

“People get offended by that. I’ve said things without thinking about it — not trying to be offensive. I need to apologize for that.” Urie told Paper earlier this year.

Panic! at the Disco have announced an Australian tour, but regrettably they are not coming to Perth. If you want to see them live you’ll have to invest in a plane ticket.

Check out the new clip.

Urie recently launched Highest Hopes Foundation (HHF) – an umbrella foundation created to support the efforts of non-profit organizations that lead, develop, and advocate support for human rights for all people and communities subject to discrimination or abuse on the basis of gender, race, religion, sexual orientation and gender identity.

The first of many donations to come, Urie pledged a one million dollar donation to GLSEN to provide resources, training, and support to students working to created student-led Gay/Straight Alliance clubs in their K-12 schools last week.

Panic! At The Disco will be allocating $1 of every ticket from the U.S. dates of the band’s Pray For The Wicked Tour to HHF and in the coming days and months, Urie and the foundation will announce upcoming donations and activations with a variety of charitable organizations.
