New Bohemian Rhapsody trailer shows us more Freddie Mercury

A new trailer for the upcoming biopic on the life of legendary Queen front man Freddie Mercury shows us a deeper look at his life and sexuality.

Bohemian Rhapsody stars Rami Malek as Mercury, as charts his rise to fame alongside his three band mates, leading up to their iconic Wembley concert in 1986.

The initial teaser trailer for the film was criticised for omitting Mercury’s bisexuality, but this new clip shows Freddie flirting with a man, confirming it’s likely to be explored on screen. The new footage also hints at Mercury speaking on his HIV diagnosis – which led to his tragic death in 1991.

The film also stars Gwilym Lee as Brian May, Game of Thrones’ Aidan Gillen as Queen’s second manager and an unrecognisable Mike Myers as an EMI executive.
