Emma Bunton, Melanie Chisholm, Melanie Brown and Victoria Beckham met up at Geri Horner’s Hertfordshire home last week and agreed to put the band back together. Baby, Sporty, Scary Posh and Ginger have confirmed they have a new project in the works, but what it exactly will be in unclear at this stage.

The band’s longtime manager Simon Fuller was also at the get together. Fans are hoping a world tour will be on the cards, but it might be a smaller project like a TV special or a one-off televised concert.

The last time the five performed together was at the London Olympics in 2012. They previously played a series of concerts in 2007.

Geri Horner quit the band at the height of their success in 1998, the remaining four members went on to record one more album before announcing their indefinite hiatus in 2000.
