Featuring Boy George on the cover the well known magazine has gone for a minimalist look with it’s new approach, its a style that sees the magazine look as good as the latest crop of hipster mags on the shelves.

The Gay Times team worked Visual Talent, the publishers of Wonderland, Man About Town, and Rollacoaster on the new design.

The team from London sent us through a few images for a sneak peek at what the inside will have to offer.

The first issue sees Boy George being interviewed by Adam Lambert. It’s 30 years since the Culture Club singer, and The Voice – Australia coach first appeared on the cover the magazine.

Speaking about the re-launch, James Frost, the new owner of Gay Times said the magazine remained committed to focusing on diversity.

“Gay Times is the world’s longest running magazine for gay and bi men, and continues to offer unparalleled access to a global community, promoting inclusivity and diversity. The publication continues to deliver on its promise to the international community of modern men, to elevate the discussion surrounding all members of our vast and varied community.” Frost said.

“The relaunch represents a huge step along that journey. For instance, Boy George: the enduring hero and national treasure who has reinvented himself, whilst preserving authenticity throughout his career. Gay Times endeavours to remain true to their vision while we reinterpret what it means to serve our community now, and for future generations”

In his interview Boy George chats about that long awaiting new Culture Club album, his upcoming Las Vegas residency, finding inspiration to write music, his desired collaborations, his magnum opus, and reflects on how his life has changed since he first appeared on the cover of Gay Times 30 years ago.

The magazine first launched in 1984 and updated it’s name to the initials GT in 2004. Earlier year the magazine reverted to it’s original full name.

You can buy the latest issue of the magazine from their website.
