The Coalition for Marriage have launched a new video as part of their campaign to stop same sex couples being allowed to wed.
The new spot features Marijke Rancie, who has gained attention online as ‘Political Posting Mumma’.
Rancie is a prominent campaigner against the Safe Schools program which aims to stop LGBTIQ students being bullied in High School. The mother of four is also a political staffer for the Liberal party.
“If the marriage law changes it will become discrimination not to teach LGBTQ sex education and radical gender theory in our schools.” Rancie says in the clip.
Rancie says voters shouldn’t be fooled, stating that changing the marriage laws and education curriculum are a “package deal”, before encouraging “Mums and Dads” to send in their postal survey form while there is still time to “push back”.
While Rancie has been appearing at events around the country for the Coalition for Marriage she was not featured in previous TV commercials that focused on concerned mothers.
The Yes campaign has previously criticised the advertising from the Coalition for Marriage describing it as a collection of “red herrings” that they hope will confuse voters.
