The opponents of marriage equality have claimed that the survey on marriage equality is about everything from education programs, to freedom of speech, to fighting political correctness.
We know that the call for equality is simply just recognising the love between two people, and their desire the formalise that commitment before their friends and families.
As we fight for the right to be able to get married to our loved ones, we’re sharing stories of LGBTI couples, and we want you to send us your story, like many couples have already done.

How did you meet?
At our workplace.
How long have you been a couple?
Seven years this December.
What’s your favourite thing about each other?
Tam: there are so many things I love about Krys but mostly her smile and her eyes.
Krys: That Tam can be really romantic and thoughtful.
What has been a big moment in your relationship?
We have 3 beautiful children together!
Why do you want to see marriage equality in Australia?
We have been lucky enough to have had two commitment ceremonies. One in 2012, winning a competition on the radio station 92.9 (Perth’s biggest wedding!) and in 2015 we committed in front of our family and friends. We would really love to have the same rights as any normal couple in love. LOVE IS LOVE!
How do you foresee your wedding day?
To be honest we have already had two beautiful commitment ceremonies so a simple legal wedding ceremony is all we want, with our 3 children present, in comfortable clothing, renewing our vows and exchanging rings and a REAL marriage certificate would be perfect for us!
