The top rating radio host began his tirade against Matthew ‘Matty J’ Johnson on Thursday after the new series of the reality dating show premiered.

On Thursday morning Sandilands said Johnson and the show’s host, Osher Gunsberg, both looked like they “had cancer”.

“I know you like that sort of ‘got cancer’ look.” Sandilands said to co-host Jackie O,  “You know, they look like they’ve got cancer, lost all that weight?”

Using Gunsgerg’s former name, Sandilands said the star of the show and it’s host sounded like they were lovers.

“Andrew G and Matty J — God, they sound like lovers. When they were standing beside each other looking like two pencils on TV last night I though, when did a man looking like an 11-year-old girl become sexy?” Sandilands said,

This morning Sandilands continued his tirade describing Johnson was a “flawed character”, and a “wet hanky” who “can’t get a girlfriend without being on a TV show”.

When a caller suggested that Johnson might be gay, Sandilands returned to his criticism of thin people.

“Anyone who wears size 28 pants, has got to be a closet,” he said.

The radio host has a long history of making controversial and offensive remarks

The Kyle and Jackie O Show airs during the breakfast slot on Sydney’s KIIS FM, while an edited version of the show plays on Perth’s 96FM from 6pm to 7pm weekdays.
