Now the Argentinian born filmmaker is turning his hand to directing and has started making music videos and a stunning short film called Cosmos.

The film features actors Stefania Koessl, Alex Ferrario and Nicolás Lorenzon and shows a group of teens who spend a  summer’s weekend together. Surrounded by nature and away from the world they explore their desires.

Being away from home and surrounded by nature and themselves, makes them reveal their true selves. In the woods, alcohol, sexual encounters, fights, jealousy and love are part of the same universe.

The movie was shot in the city of Chivilcoy in Argentina, where the director used to spend his summers in his childhood. Alexan said the film is dedicated to his grandmother.

Cosmos for me is special because it was filmed in a beloved place, Chivilcoy. A place where I used to spend my summers during my childhood.

“I wanted to film something that is visually beautiful. I approached fashion filming, because I worked a lot in video art, in the colors and costumes and I chose two models as actors.

Alexan said he chose to make a video clip as one of his first projects, rather than a dramatic film because he wanted to put something out quickly to show his style as a director.

The shoot didn’t go completely according to plan. The region was drenched in rain just before the team were about to embark on the project and they had to postpone for several weeks until the roads dried out.

The film has a soundtrack from the band Original Aryfacts. The musicians from Buenos Ares describe their sound as ‘bohemian rock’. The tune in the film is called Paris, Texas.
